She married William Taylor on February 28, 1942 in New Liskeard and had two children, Ronald (Moira) and Linda (Bob) Garrett. Anita resided in Haileybury for more than 80 years. Anita was a truly remarkable woman. At 98 years old, she was still incredibly active. Everyone who knew her was so impressed by her energy, resilience, positivity and vitality. Losing her was a tremendous shock to all who loved her.

Predeceased by her husband Bill, son Ron and five siblings, Roland, Paul, Norma (Cavanagh), Gloria (Durrand) and Bernard (Coyle), Anita is survived by her daughter Linda (Garrett), her grandchildren, Shannon Taylor, Toby and Kayla Garrett, Steven Marshall and Sheila Rivard, her great-grandchildren Samantha and Danielle Piché, Kathleen Plourde and her great-great grandchildren, Requelle, Casmina, Marquise, Keziah, Aaron and Kiana and many loving nieces and nephews.

Anita was cremated at the Lakeview Crematorium and will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Haileybury with her husband.

Anita’s family wishes to thank Dr. Don Davies and the staff of Tri-Town Extendicare for taking such good care of Anita in her final years.
