Neddo, Basil Allan - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father Basil on October 11th, 2020. He is predeceased by his mother Irene and his father Willis and three siblings.

Basil was born in April 1943 and married to Judy Paquette for 55 years. Basil worked as a taxi driver, worked in the mines, truck driver for the town of Haileybury and for James Lathem Excavating. He was a hard worker, neighbourly, great provider for his family and a talented handyman. He had a great sense of humour and took pride in his appearance. Basil was an avid baseball fan and loved the Toronto Blue Jays.

He will be dearly missed by his daughters Rosanne (Pierre-Jean), Kathleen (Michel) and Angela (Jason); his six grandchildren who referred to him as Papa Basil; Samantha (Krzysztof), Matthew, Stéphanie (Eric), Jeff (DeAnne), Jaslyn, and Brendan; his three great grandchildren Brielle, Kasia and Arkadiusz and his long time best friend Sid.

As an expression of sympathy contributions in Basil's memory can be made to Canadian Mental Health Awareness Temiskaming [20 May St S, New Liskeard, ON P0J 1P0] Condolences and contributions may be left at

It is with a heavy heart that I’m writhing this as I’ve none my Father in law for 32 years and grown to appreciate and learning different things from him which benefit me in my life I will miss him dearly he was a dedicated Father to all of his Girls as well dedicated to his Grand Children’s and Great Grand Children’s.

I will always cherish this memory when we went fishing together as well as watching Live Baseball in Montreal with him as his favourite Team the Blue Jays took on the Boston Red Sox at the Olympic Stadium.

Rest well Basil let the wind carry the Ball where ever it lands and the waters carry you gently threw the waves.

Sincerely Michel son in law
