McLaughin, Charles
1939-2022

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Charles McLaughlin at the age of 83 years. Charles died peacefully with his family by his side after a short battle with cancer.

Charles was born in Scotland and moved to Canada in 1970. Charles spent time in the Navy and worked as a brick layer for many years in Hamilton. They then moved to Salmon Beach, New Brunswick for 12 years before moving to Haileybury in 2017. Charles enjoyed spending time on his computer and he loved to play cards.

Charles leaves to mourn his wife Annette Lafontaine; his daughters: Wendy and her husband Shane Coote and Julie Arnold; grandchildren: Shane Jr., Victoria and Fay; and three great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn is his sister May McLaughlin; and his in-laws: Roger and Doris Béland, Thérèse and Garry Ward, Rose Rhéaume and Germaine Courchesne; many nieces and nephews.

Charles' final care has been entrusted to Buffam Leveille Funeral Home where a memorial visitation will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 beginning at 10:00 am. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am with Father Wayne Mills officiating. Condolences and tributes may be left at www.buffamleveille.com.
