Obituary for Clifford Bowley Hallworth

Hallworth, Clifford Bowley
1940 – 2022

With profound sadness, the family announce the death of Mr Clifford B. “Cliff” Hallworth at the age of 81 years. Cliff passed away suddenly at Temiskaming Hospital, Friday, March 11, 2022.

Born April 11, 1940 at Haileybury to the late John Clifford Hallworth and the late Alice Bowley. Cliff was a decorated member of the Ontario Provincial Police. He began his career with the OPP in Dundas on September 18, 1961. From there he also served the communities of Burlington, Haileybury and Cobalt before ending his career with the Haileybury Detachment June 30, 1993. From 1993 to 1996 he served as Court Security with the Haileybury Court House.

Predeceased by the love of his life Gail [Binkley] September 27, 2021. Sadly missed by his children: Kimberley Hurteau [Terry Power], Jennifer Franks [James] and Kevin [Nadine] Hallworth. He was loved by his grandchildren: Erica Ludgate [Myles], Mathew Hurteau [Lilah], Dean Franks [Fiona], Evan Franks [Dominique], Jayden Jean and Daxon Hallworth; and by two great-granddaughters Pyrrha and Cinder Ludgate. He is remembered as a loving father, Bubba, Great-Bubba and friend. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place at Lakeview Crematorium – Haileybury. The Hallworth Family invite one and all to join with them at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 54, Haileybury on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 7:00pm for a time of sharing and remembering Cliff and Gail. All of their favourite treats will be available during this time along with various shots of poison as Cliff would always say. Please join them again after 7:00 pm at the Hallworth Family Home, 216 Carter Boulevard for a bonfire, memorial Chinese lantern release and continued sharing. Feel free to bring your own lanterns for release and please dress casually. In remembrance of Cliff please consider making a donation to an animal shelter of your choice or maybe even feed a crow.
