Obituary for Dianne Rose Hamelin (Lagrandeur)
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the death of Mrs. Dianne Hamelin of Cobalt at the age of 65 years. Dianne died peacefully in the comfort of her home on Thursday, December 15, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 14, 1957 to the late Edmond Lagrandeur and the late Evangeline Robillard. Dianne will be remembered as a very caring, compassionate and devoted person who worked many years as a social worker at the Pavilion Women's Centre. After her retirement, Dianne found more time to do the things she loved such as camping and boating, but her greatest love was any time spent with her family. Dianne had a heart of gold and would always put the needs of others before her own. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her presence will sorely be missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Dianne is survived by her loving husband Roger Hamelin, her three sons Jefferson Keyes (Candice Dupuis), Daniel Bérubé and Jason (Alicia) Martin. Dianne is the cherished grandmother of Elizabeth, Jazlyn, Damien, Julie, Lucas, Sylar, Peyton; step-grandmother to Damien and Katrina and great-grandmother to Ava. Dianne is also survived by her step-father “Papa Jim,” siblings Norm (Pearl) Lagrandeur, John (Joanne) Lagrandeur, Jeanne (Lloyd) Henry, Lynn McLean as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Dianne is predeceased by her parents, her father and mother-in-law Marcel and Doreen Hamelin, her sisters-in-law Lucille Prieur, Carole Hamelin, by her brothers-in-law Bob McLean, Scott Symons, Richard Hamelin and Maurice Hamelin.
