Obituary for Donald Ally Woods

With sadness the family announces the death of Mr Donald Woods at the age of 90 years. Mr Woods passed away at the Temiskaming Lodge on Wednesday September 28, 2022 with his loving daughters by his side.

He was born at Harley Township on February 28, 1932 and is the son of the late Adolphus Woods and the late Florence Bates. Mr Woods was employed by Jacksic Trucking for many years. Upon his retirement, he found more time to enjoy the things he loved, most notably fishing and camping. But his greatest love was any time spent with this family more specially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr Woods will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He had a heart of gold and would always put the need of others before his own.

Mr Woods is the loving father of Florence (late Owen) Cummings, Jeannie and her husband Peter Tracey, Doris Woods (Mark Villneff), Glenda Woods, Sheila and her husband Ron Savoie and Donna and her husband Luc Breault. He is the cherished grandfather of Tanya, Sarah, Kim, Stephanie, Melissa, Chrissy, Katelyn, Dustin, Craig, Alyssa, Bradley, Eric, Kristin, Andrew; great-grandfather of Colby, Grace, Rork, Ryley, Gabrielle, Christopher, McKenzie, Amiayah, Lauren, Kylie, Sidney, Harrison, Hayes, Layla, Zoe, Ivy, Vincent and Theodore. Also surviving are his siblings Eva Knott, Sheila Pluto, Vivian Ridley, Kenneth and his wife May Woods, Bruce Woods as well as his extended family members. Mr Woods is predeceased by his wife Beverly Woods (nee Smith), by his parents, his siblings Norman Woods, William Woods, John Woods, Dolly Woods, Gloria Sagodi and by his grandchildren Kyle and Kyla.

The family of the late Donald Woods will receive family and friends at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home on Saturday October 01, 2022 beginning at 11:00am. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12:00pm. Interment will take place at the Hudson Memorial Cemetery.
