It is with profound sadness that the family announces the death of Elizabeth Catherine Johnson (nee Ramsay) at the age of 87 years. She passed away peacefully at the Temiskaming Hospital on Thursday, April 9, 2020. She was a true angel always putting others before herself and wanting to care for everyone around her. We were truly blessed, Elizabeth was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. We were lucky to have her in our lives for so many years. Elizabeth will now join her beloved husband Herbert, her parents (Sam and Martha), brother (Edward) and sister (Dawn) in heaven. She will be greatly missed by her children Wayne, Barry (Francine), Karl (Jean), Deborah (Douglas), Christopher and Ellen. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren Lee (Vilma), Jon (Karyn), Lisa (Derek), Kristine (David), Shellie (Joey), Andy and Zoey, She had many great-grandchildren Quinton, Caleb, Quinn, Kinsley, Kaylee and Willow, as well as many nieces, nephews and her sister-in-law Isabell. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Goddard and her angels in the Palliative Care Unit for the wonderful care and compassion they gave her. A celebration of life will be at a later date. Donations in Elizabeth’s memory can be made to St. Simon’s Anglican Church in Temagami. Arrangements entrusted to BUFFAM LEVEILLE FUNERAL HOME 705-672-3122. Online condolences accepted at

Betty and Herb had a special place in my family. They were always so good to and for Helga and Rudy and shared many a laugh and good times. She was a pleasure to know.

Dear Wayne, Barry, Karl, Debbie, Chris & Ellen & families
We were saddened to hear that Betty has passed. Your mother was the best. She always had time to talk, and we had several chats when I lived out the west road with my Parents. Sometimes she would walk up to my mom & dads, and I would walk down to her place as well. We would sit and chat, and your mom was always preparing meals and making her excellent desserts. She was very proud of each one of you . When I married and she moved away, I did not see her that often, but when she moved to Temagami, I saw her a couple times at church functions. We would catch up on how our families were doing. The last time I saw her at Olga's funeral, and she and I gave each other a big hug and said that some day we should get together and have more time to talk.
She has now reunited with your dad, and I am sure most of the neighbours and my family from the west road who have passed on before her I will always
remember her beautiful smile. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.
