Peacefully on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the Temiskaming Lodge, Gilberte Horts of North Cobalt passed away at the age of 89. Dear friend of Dallas and Paulette Rostad. Gilberte was born in Belgium and immigrated to Canada as a young bride. She was a lover of all dogs and spent many years breeding Belgium Shepherds (Tervuren). She was an active member of the Temiskaming Kennel Club and her dogs won several championships. Gilberte was a very talented seamstress and an antique dealer in her early years in Canada. She was also a member of the I.O.D.E. and the Haileybury Legion Brach 54 Ladies Auxiliary in the past. Special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Temiskaming Lodge for the wonderful care they provided her through the years. Cremation has taken place at Lakeview Crematorium, Haileybury.
