Obituary for Grégoire Joseph Labonté
With deep sadness, the family announces the death of Mr. Grégoire Labonté of New Liskeard at the age of 92 years. Mr. Labonté died in the comfort of his home on Sunday, April 16, 2023 with his loving family by his side.
Mr. Labonté was born on May 24, 1930 in Belle Vallée to the late Albert and Alma Labonté. He is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years of marriage Marie Labonté (née Lantaigne) and by his loving children Gabriel Labonté (Henriette), Ginette St- Amant (Yves) and Line Gosselin (Richard). Mr. Labonté is the cherished grandfather of fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Denise Loranger, Rachel Falardeau and by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Mr Labonté is predeceased by his parents, his sons René Labonté (Ginette), Jean-Paul Labonté, his grandson Steven Gosselin as well as his many brothers and sisters.

The family of the late Grégoire Labonté will receive family and friends at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home - New Liskeard Chapel (251 Shepherdson Road) on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and again on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 9:30-10:30 am. The memorial mass will follow at 11:00am at Église Sacré Coeur, New Liskeard. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be made to Community Cancer Care.
