Obituary for Jeannine Denise Ducharme (Dupuis)
It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Jeannine Ducharme (née Dupuis) on August 31, 2022, at the Temiskaming Hospital at the age of 75 years, following a brave battle against cancer.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years André and her children Anne (Jason Postma), Michel (Tammy), Lisa and Guy. She will be greatly missed by her beloved grandchildren Ryan, Sydney, Spencer, Zoé and Toby, her sister-in-law Danielle Pronovost, as well as many other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Louise (née Gaboury) and Jérôme Dupuis, her brother Roger, her sister and brother-in-law Lorraine and Dave McCarty, and her son-in-law Alex Bucko.
A lifelong resident of the Earlton area, Jeannine was an avid reader who enjoyed camping, crossword puzzles and gardening, as well as cooking and baking for her family. Above all else, her loved ones will remember her for her kind heart, generous spirit, tenacity and sense of humour, even during the most trying of times.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Temiskaming Hospital, Blanche River Health (Englehart campus) and Health Sciences North for their support and compassion. Donations in Jeannine’s memory can be made to the Temiskaming Hospital Foundation, the Northeast Cancer Centre of Health Sciences North, and Ovarian Cancer Canada. At her request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
