Lonsdale, Jeffrey Alan - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeff, on Thursday May 14, 2020 in North Bay where he resided, at the age of 71 years, following a lengthy illness with heart and lung disease.

Jeff was born on July 4, 1948 in Rouyn Noranda, QC to the late Genavive 'Betty' Mullen Lonsdale and to the late Victor Lonsdale. Jeff lived in Haileybury for most of his adult life. He sadly leaves behind his wife Carol of 53 years and his 3 children Cheryl (Pascal) of Huntsville, Tracy (Peter) of Fraserville and Steve (Brandy) of North Bay. Also left to mourn are his seven grandchildren Ryan, Katie (Scott), Taylor (Derek), Sarah (Dylan), Zach, Brittny, Chelsea (Jake) and his six great-grandchildren Kaydee, Braden, Elijah, Nadia, Allie and Hendrix. Jeff is also survived by his siblings Linda ('Finn' Muredach) Finnerty, Mike (Nan) Lonsdale, Doug (Judy) Lonsdale, Kathy (Jack) Bunjak, his brother-in-law Richard Bailey as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Jeff was Director of Business Information Systems at Northern Telephone Ltd where he worked for 34 years. He loved his work family and they loved him in return. Following his retirement in 2003, he found more time to enjoy boating, fishing, traveling, playing games and being involved with the Haileybury Lions Club and the Haileybury 54's hockey administration. He liked helping with his children's hockey, baseball, bowling and other activities. Above all Jeff enjoyed his family time.

In keeping with Jeff's wishes cremation has taken place at Lakeview Crematorium, Haileybury. There will not be any visitation or service.
