The family announces with sorrow the death of Laurette Goudreault at the age of 80 years. Laurette passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family, Friday, April 1, 2022.
Born at Judge November 18, 1941 to the late Jean Presseault and the late Cécile Paquin. Laurette lived in Haileybury for most of her life and made New Liskeard her home in recent years. She had been a member of the Club d’Age d’Or of Holy Cross Church and a volunteer for the Holy Cross Church Bazar and funeral luncheon committee.
Predeceased by her husband Henri Goudreault; her granddaughter Erika Gagné and her brothers: Marcel, Gabriel and Robert Presseault. Left to mourn are her loving children: Daniel [Heather-Lee] Goudreault of Sudbury, Michelle [Paul] Gagné of North Cobalt and Linda [Jean-Guy] Gauthier of New Liskeard. Fondly remembered by grandchildren: Mitchell and Steven Goudreault, Sonia [RJ Costain], Stéphanie Gagné, Andrée [Julien Pâquet] and Denis Girard; great-grandchildren: Laurie, Meggie, Noémie, Lily, Nico, Noah and Érika-Lynn. Also survived by her life companion André Breault; her siblings: Roger [Noella] Presseault, Jean-Guy [Rose] Presseault, Monique [Fernand] Roy, Rhéal Presseault, Ghislaine [Roger] Julien, Pauline [Michel] Bélanger and her sister-in-law Gabriella.
The family would like to give special thanks to Fabienne Blain for her attentive care of Laurette and to Dr Don Davies his compassion and care.
The Goudreault family will welcome friends at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home Monday, April 4, 2022 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Holy Cross Church – Haileybury, Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 11:00 am. Father Ghislain Ndonji officiating. Spring interment will take place at the Haileybury Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
