Obituary for Lucille Marie Ethier (Forget)
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the death of Mrs. Lucille Marie Ethier. Lucille passed away peacefully at the Temiskaming Lodge on Monday, February 20, 2023 at the age of 91 years.
Lucille was born in Thornloe on October 17, 1931 to the late Ovila and Marie Jeanne (née Lapointe) Forget. Lucille was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and will be sadly missed.
Predeceased by her husband Henri, son Claude and her brother Rhéal Forget. Left to mourn are her children: Carole; André (Paula); Christine and daughter-in-law Karen. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her siblings: Simone Savoie, Therese Pressé, Maurice Forget and Jeannette Groom.
She worked for years in the kitchen at the Haileybury Hospital and then at the Temiskaming Lodge. Many will remember Lucille for her good cooking, especially her desserts.
The Ethier family will welcome friends at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Private burial will follow in the spring at the Haileybury Catholic Cemetery.
The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff at the Temiskaming Lodge who helped care for her.
