Obituary for Monique Johnson
Johnson, Monique Noella (Ladouceur) - With heavy hearts the family announces the death of Monique Johnson at the age of 56 years. Monique passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Wednesday March 24, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 31, 1964 in Haileybury to Paul Ladouceur and to the late Jeanne d'Arc Labrèche, Monique was a caring, compassionate woman who selflessly gave of herself when in need. Many will remember Monique from her place of employment at Contact North. She had a passion for flowers and could be found in her garden during her free time. Her greatest pleasure was any time spent at the cottage with her family surrounded by her grandchildren. Monique was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Her presence will be missed by all those lucky enough to have known her.
Monique is survived by her husband Ron Pickard, loving mother of Amanda and her husband John Butler, Victoria Johnson (Matthew Solimine) and Quinn Johnson. She is the cherished grandmother of Ellena, Lexi and John Wyatt; daughter of Paul Ladouceur and sister of Norman and his wife Margaret Ladouceur. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Monique is predeceased by her mother Jeanne d'Arc Ladouceur (2003).
In keeping with Monique's wishes, cremation has taken place at Lakeview crematorium, Haileybury. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
