Muriel Bush
1941-2023
Our beloved Muriel Bush (nee Maillé), 81, passed away on January 26, 2023 after living a full life. She often said “J’ai eu une belle vie”! She was known for her laughter, humour, and joie de vivre! Muriel was the loving wife of the late William (Bill) Bush for 58 years and the proud mother of Randy and Darrell (Veronica). She was predeceased by her youngest son D’Arcy (Natalie). She cherished her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and sure loved teasing them! Muriel was born and raised in New Liskeard and was well known in the community. She taught core French for 42 years and was a member of the Town Council for 11 years and a representative for the Ontario Teachers’ Federation for 20 years. Muriel enjoyed socializing with friends, reading books, doing crossword puzzles, listening to live music, walking the boardwalk with her beloved dog Scamp, and playing softball back in the day! She always had a positive outlook on life and was an inspiration to all of us! Cremation took place at Lakeview Crematorium in Haileybury. The family will receive family and friends at l’Église Sacré-Coeur in New Liskeard on Saturday February 4th, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The memorial mass will follow in the church at 11:00 am.
