Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Temiskaming District Hospital, on Sunday, October 2, 2022, Nelson “Sambo” Wabie, of Timiskaming First Nations passed away at the age of 75. Loving father of Michael (Michelle), Christopher, Ashley (Betty), Clyde (Julie), Priscilla (Adam), Marsha (Luc), Sabrina (Sheri), Mandy (Terry) and Danielle (Peter). Survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother of Arthur, Norman, Eddy, Eric, Charles Sr., Eleanor and Emily. Forever remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Sadly missed by his right hand man Willie Groulx and his precious dog, Snowball. Nelson has now joined his parents, the late Frank and Annie Wabie. Also predeceased by his brothers, Bryan and Jimmy and his sister Juliette. Cremation has taken place at Lakeview Crematorium, Haileybury. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Buffam Leveille Funeral Home, 705-672-3122.
