Obituary for Yvette Lacasse

Yvette Lacasse was born in Judge, Ontario on February 15,1949. She entered Heaven’s gates on March 15, 2022 with her family by her side.

A loving mother, Grand-Maman and business owner, Yvette was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, especially over the holidays. For many years leading up to her passing, she loved to exercise, snowshoe in the winter and landscape around the house in the summer, keeping her yard looking beautiful. During her spare time she collected pictures of her grandchildren to make creative collages and she loved to fish by the river. Every opportunity she had to be with her family she was dedicated to make sure it happened.

Yvette is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Roger Lacasse. She is predeceased by her son Steve Lacasse. Also survived by her daughter Josee Caves Lacasse and husband Brad Caves, her son Mario Lacasse and wife Susan Rapin and daughter in-law Angie Woods. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Emily Lacasse, Tessa Lacasse, Macy Lacasse, Cody Caves Lacasse, Chantal Caves Lacasse, Katie Lacasse, Nick Lacasse, Luke Lacasse and Sophie Lacasse.

Yvette is also predeceased by her father and mother Urgel and Blanche St-Onge, sisters Lise Presseault and Florence Dutrisac. She is survived by her brothers Aurel St-Onge, René St-Onge, Roger St-Onge, Maurice St-Onge and by her sisters, Therese Maxwell, Noella Presseault, and Nicole St-Onge.

Mom, Grand-Maman, we will miss you everyday seeing your smile and hearing your voice. The love that you carried for your family and all your grandchildren has been a blessing to us all. You have always been here for every one of us and mostly with your husband Gé Gé (Roger).Every time you looked in each others eyes the magic was there everyday! You adored each other!!

Now it’s time that you have to let go and leave us the legacy of what you stood for as a wife, mother and Grand-Maman and let us carry the torch forward. Say “Hi” to everyone and mostly to your son Steve and please watch over us.

Like you always said “Love you to the Moon and Back”.

Yvette requested for an intimate memorial not far from her home. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days at the Beverly-Ann Boros Pallliative Care Suite at the Temiskaming Hospital. Donations would be appreciated to the Temiskaming Hospital Foundation in Yvette’s name. Condolences and memories may be left at www.buffamleveille.com
