Obituary for Carmen Marie Juliette Lawrence Rivard (Laurin)
Rivard, Carmen Marie Juliette Lawrence [Laurin] - With sadness the family announces the death of Mrs Carmen Rivard of Earlton. Mrs Rivard passed away at her home on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the age of 87 years.
Born July 13, 1929 at Timmins to the late Jules Laurin and the late Lucia Mineault. She lived in Earlton for most of her life where she and her late husband Joseph operated a dairy farm until the time of retirement. She enjoyed gardening, camping and time spent with her family. She will be sadly missed.
Predeceased by her husband Joseph Rivard and her siblings: Anita, Réal, Léo and Fernand "John". Sadly missed by her children: Anita [Normand] Gervais of New Liskeard, Donald [Isabelle Tremblay] of Nédelec and Mario [Denise] Rivard of Earlton. Fondly remembered by eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren; and her sister Jeannine Sansoucy.
The Rivard family will welcome friends at St-Jean-Baptiste Church in Earlton on Saturday, June 17, 2017 beginning at 10:am. Funeral mass will be celebrated in the church at 11:am. Father Germain Turcotte officiating. Interment will take place at the Armstrong Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
