It is with profound sadness that the family announces the death of Cecile Pacaud (nee Poitras) at the age of 90 years old. She passed away peacefully at the Temiskaming Lodge, Haileybury on Friday, March 27, 2020. Cecile was born and raised in Bonfield where she met the love of her life, Albert. Together they moved to Haileybury to start their lives and to raise their beautiful family. Cecile worked in the kitchen at the Temiskaming Hospital for many years. She was a true angel, always putting others before herself and wanting to take care of everyone around her. She loved to spoil her family and friends with gifts and baked goods. She was always smiling and loved to make those around her laugh. She loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting and she enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Most of all, Cecile enjoyed being surrounded by her family and loved ones; nothing brought her more joy! We truly were blessed! Cecile was an amazing wife, mother, mother in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and we were lucky to have had her in our lives for so many years! Cecile can now join her beloved husband, Albert and her parents and brothers in Heaven. She will be greatly missed by her children, Diane (Wayne Malette), Lorraine, Donald (Margaret) and by her sister, Germaine (Bert Dumont). She will also be missed and remembered by her grandchildren and their spouses: Joel (Bonnie), Amanda (Eric Meunier), Jody (Trillium), Dave (Shauna), Christopher, Cassandra (Lyle Findlay) and Andrew (Naomi), many great-grandchildren and their significant others, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Don Davies and the staff at the Temiskaming Lodge for the wonderful care and compassion they gave Cecile over the years. A Memorial Mass will be held for Cecile at a later date. If desired, donations in Cecile’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to BUFFAM LEVEILLE FUNERAL HOME, Haileybury, 705-672-3122. Online condolences accepted at

Dear Diane,Wayne & Families.
Haileybury has lost a beautiful soul.
We enjoyed many laughs & good times here at “Island View”
We looked forward in the morning for Cecile to enter the Common Room.
Dressed to the nines & wearing jewelry that matched to a tee,
Yes,even down to her socks & shoes.
Coffee time has never been quite the same since she moved.
Sunday visits from her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren gave her that beautiful smile.
Cecile Is Now With Albert !
