Obituary

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Carole Lyons (nee Gagne) of Haileybury at the age of 66. Carole passed away peacefully after a long battle with C.O.P.D on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at the Temiskaming Hospital with her loving sister and caregiver Diane by her side. Carole will be remembered as a spicy young lady who would let anyone know what was happening and what was going to happen. Carol was predeceased by her first husband Bill Prentice and her second husband Lawrence Lyons. She has now gone on to a better place to rejoin her sweetheart and best friend Allen Browne who passed away two years ago. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Jeanette Gagne and her siblings Aurele, Leatrice and Rita. She is survived by her son Christopher and her siblings John (Liette) Gagne, Alice (Rosaire) Forget, Susan (the late Stan) Willard and Diane (Keith) Miller. Also left to mourn are her dear friends Shirley Gilson and Robert Salter, her extended Browne family of Cobalt and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks for all your help in the past few months. Cremation has taken place at Lakeview Crematorium, Haileybury. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to BUFFAM LEVEILLE FUNERAL HOME, Haileybury, 705-672-3122. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association. Pat and I are so sorry to hear of Carole's passing.I am so glad I took a half an hour or so and visited her at her house when in Haileybury last summer. Had a great chat and reminisced but she was having a hard time talking. We shared a brief conversation on Private Message on Facebook just a week ago. Please take solace in knowing that her fight is over and she's now reunited with the Gagnes who went before her. Our sincerest condolences go to her son and her remaining siblings. Our thoughts are with you all. Please let us know when you are planning the Celebration of Life. We would do our best to join you. Un bataille a bien lutte, un repose bien merite. The Dwyers

I am so sorry to have heard about your passing Carole.
As, you said. Not long ago our little circle of friends from North Cobalt is getting smaller and smaller.
Your smile, your laughter will always be remembered.
Fly high with the angels Carol, no more pain.
Rest in peace.
